The drawings in the book consist of the colors black, red, and white (Tipp-Ex), combined with portraits of soldiers from the Hashomer Hatzair memorial book who died in the 1967 war, the same war in which my grandfather died. I found this book in the archive at Givat Haviva, where I lived during my residency as part of a Palestinian-Jewish program, and incorporated the portraits into my own book. Building on the installation, the book treats war as raw material, at times exposing its wretchedness and at times reflecting its mere existence and destructive results. Through play and humor, I eliminate heroism, war remains a cruel game without purpose or end.
